Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
Musubi will not be accepting applicants who: engage in racist, sexist, homophobic, or transphobic behavior; engage in harassment; use generative AI or sell NFTs; or have a history of theft (art tracing, plagiarism, copying, etc.). Contributors found in violation of this policy will be removed from the project.
All accepted applicants are expected to have a Discord account, communicate openly with mods, meet deadlines in a timely manner, and adhere to zine policy.
The mod team reserves the right to remove any contributor from the project at their discretion, should the contributor fail to notify the team of their progress. Contributors will receive a final notice via email as a reminder of project deadlines. Failure to respond within the time frame designated in the email will result in automatic removal from the project so as to allow for time to contact a pinch hitter.
Contributors will not be permitted to share their piece publicly during the creation process. Full pieces or previews of pieces should not be posted until the mod team notifies contributors that they may do so. Contributors will retain full rights and ownership to their pieces. After the distribution of the zine, contributors are free to redistribute their piece however they wish.
Applicants must submit a portfolio that is easily accessible and organized. A curated Google Drive folder is strongly preferred, but other platforms (e.g., Carrd, Portfoliobox, Ao3, a dedicated Tumblr tag) will also be accepted. If using Drive, please ensure link sharing is set to “Anyone can view.”
The samples included in the portfolio should be of the same quality and style of work the applicant plans to produce for the zine.
Pieces featuring Iwaizumi and Oikawa are encouraged but not required.
As this is a SFW project, we will not be accepting NSFW samples, and any submitted NSFW samples will not be reviewed. Any portfolio with untagged and/or improperly tagged NSFW works is subject to disqualification.
Applicants may apply for more than one role but may only be accepted for one.
